Jones Bootmaker has agreed a deal for one former Austin Reed Group store in Harrogate, while White Stuff has taken stores in Ludlow, Newark, Thame and Banbury.

Drapers understands jeweller Fraser Hart has also taken some locations and there have been offers from retailers including JoJo Maman Bébé, Space NK and Waterstones. A source said that many stores will be returned to landlords.

Administrator AlixPartners announced it failed to find a buyer for the Austin Reed Group’s full portfolio at the end of May.

Five concessions within Boundary Mills outlet villages were sold to AR Operations Limited, while the Austin Reed and Country Casuals brands have been sold to fellow Edinburgh Woollen Mill Group company Border IP Limited.
