White Stuff appoints marketing director

Lifestyle retailer White Stuff has appointed a new marketing director, who will take on the role from the middle of this month.

Julian Baker joins from discount travel business STA Travel where he is group marketing director. He has previously held marketing roles at The Co-Operative Group, TK Maxx, Ann Summers and Marks and Spencer.

Baker replaces interim marketing director Fiona Wilson, who had been in the role for six months following the departure of Lee Cooper.

He has been tasked with building White Stuff’s multichannel offer. The creation of the role comes amid a shake up under new chief executive Jeremy Siegal.

Seigal, who joined earlier this year from health and beauty group AS Watson, is expected to put renewed emphasis on multichannel  and new buying behaviours.
