Wholesale move heralds European push by Hallett

Concessions business Hallett Retail has launched a wholesale division of its Fuse Fashion Network to attract customers from outside of the UK.

Fuse’s wholesale operation launched this week and will be run from a purpose-built showroom on London’s Great Titchfield Street.

The showroom will exhibit brands across four distinct categories – women’s young fashion, contemporary, plus size, and jewellery and accessories – allowing stockists to buy a small

selection split across several labels.

The wholesale arm will act as an agent between the British brands it represents, which include young fashion brands Closet and John Zack, and international retailers, as well as UK retailers that do not operate a concessions model.

Hallett Retail has spent the past year building a network of agents in overseas markets, including France and Germany, in order to push ahead with the wholesale strategy.

Chief operating officer Kevin Hallett said the business also planned to build a wholesale website and open wholesale showrooms overseas.

“We are very excited about this concept,” Hallett said. “The brands we will be working with do not currently have a very big business outside of the UK, so there is a lot of potential.”
