Windsmoor gets bigger in Jacques Vert overhaul

Jacques Vert has expanded its womenswear brand Windsmoor to size 24 for autumn, as part of an overhaul of its ranges. The firm, which also owns Planet and Precis, this week posted pre-tax profits of £19.2 million, against £3.4m the year before. The leap was due to a net exceptional credit after winding up its pension scheme. Retail sales for the year to April 28 were up 5.4% to £114.9m. Analysts said the group was a 'very different animal' to a year ago, after disposing of its menswear wholesale arm. It is focusing on retail and aims to open up to 10 standalone Planet units in the next year.
