Wolford appoints Grit Seymour to new role of creative director

Wolford has appointed Grit Seymour to the new role of creative director to drive the future development of the brand, effective immediately.

Her responsibilities will include the design of future collections, as well as an advisory function for Wolford’s overall brand identity. Her first collection will be for spring 16.

Seymour was most recently design consultant to womenswear brand RenéLezard, a role she held since 2011, and previously lectured in experimental clothing and textile design at the Berlin University of the Arts.

She has also designed for international fashion labels such as Donna Karan and Max Mara, and was formerly creative director of womenswear at Daniel Hechter and head of womenswear design at Hugo Boss.

Axel Dreher, speaker of the management board at Wolford, said: “With her extensive experience, ranging from design to in-store branding, she will play a major role in increasing the charisma of the Wolford label.”
