Wolford appoints new chief executive

Wolford has appointed Ashish Sensarma as its new chief executive from January 7.

Sensarma will replace Holger Dahmen who will leave the company on January 31.

Sensarma worked at Mexx for over 20 years until 2006, when it was sold to Liz Claiborne. He was the chief operating officer of swimwear brand Vilebrequin from 2008 to 2012.

Antonella Mei-Pochtler, chair of the supervisory board at Wolford, said: “He is an optimal addition to our strong management team of Axel Dreher (chief operating officer) and Thomas Melzer (chief finance officer), contributing specific international marketing and sales expertise; two areas of importance for our company’s success.

“His proficiency in driving profitable growth and passion for creating consumer satisfaction are exactly what we need.”
