Womenswear label Made in Preston moves into wholesale

Online womenswear brand Made in Preston is launching a wholesale division for the first time following £250,000 investment.

The brand – which targets 16- to 25-year-olds with a range of dresses, separates and lingerie – is planning to double its monthly output to 2,000 units, with the cash injection being used to grow headcount and build capacity at its Preston factory.

Clothing is available in sizes 6 to 16 and for each dress size there are three shapes: fit, which is a standard high-street shape; foxy, which is designed for DD+; and fab, which is for cup size G+.

Wholesale prices range from £13 for jersey dresses to £24 for sequined party dresses, with a 60% margin for retailers.
