Autumn 10

Creative director Frida Giannini drew on Gucci’s heritage for autumn 10, fusing 1970s style with 1990s modernism. It was a fresh departure from the glitzy looks of previous seasons and perfectly in tune with the mood of the season. Shift dresses with razor-slashed details, 1970s pant shapes, wool trench coats, boyfriend tailoring, wrap skirts, silk tunic dresses, the one-sleeved dress, sheer party dresses and feathered shrugs for evening all caught the eye. A plethora of fur - silver fox, blond beaver, mix-tint fox, camel hair, mink and sable - was interwoven with suede.
