Womenswear retailer Lavitta has closed all 10 of its stores just a year after embarking on a bricks-and-mortar rollout.
The business, which launched online in 2015, appointed Lewis Business Recovery & Insolvency as liquidators to its stores this week.
Drapers understands the online part of the business operates under a different company name and is continuing to trade.
The stores were located across Northern England in Grimsby, Leeds, St Helens, Southport, Bridlington, Widnes, Hull, Doncaster, Kings Lynn and Bury.
In a statement on the winding-up order, Anil Chima said the company’s liabilities were too large for it to continue operating.
Lavitta was established by directors Anil and Anand Chima to provide affordable fashion in sizes 12 to 24, priced from £10 to £45.
Its head office is based at the Pennine Business Park in Bradley, Huddersfield.
Draers has contacted Lavitta for comment.
