Luxury fashion house Gucci Group is gearing up to leave its London headquarters on Grafton Street.
Gucci Group president and chief executive officer Robert Polet will move to the label’s offices in Cadempino, Switzerland, this autumn, while chief operating officer Alexis Babeau will transfer there later this month, according to reports.
Gucci Group is understood to be seeking a smaller office space elsewhere in central London for its human resources, legal and IT departments.
The fashion house’s Cadempino offices currently house Gucci Group’s supply-chain and logistics operations. The group also has offices in Paris, Florence and Milan.
Gucci set up UK headquarters in Grafton Street in 1998, when Tom Ford was creative director and chose to be based in London.
Earlier this year, Gucci Group closed its corporate image division, which was based at Grafton Street and employed seven staff.
