WSGN Global Fashion Awards: shortlist announced

Trend forecaster WGSN has revealed the shortlist for its annual Global Fashion Awards, which will be held at New York’s Gotham Hall on October 20.

The awards, which are in their second year and are sponsored by Swarovski Elements, include nominations for retailers including Reiss, TopShop, Karen Millen, ASOS, Net-portercom and H&M; brands including Pretty Green, Donna Ida and Abercrombie & Fitch and for designers including Burberry’s Christopher Bailey, Marc Jacobs and Phoebe Philo. Categories include best etailer, global brand/retailer of the year, breakthrough brand/retailer and most influential designer across men’s and women’s wear, and footwear.

The shortlist, below in full, was revealed at an event at London hotel St Martin’s Lane to an audience including Harold Tillman, chairman of the British Fashion Council, Nicholas Kirkwood, winner of last year’s most influential footwear designer award, and WGSN chief executive Susanna Kempe.
