Lofvander ran her eponymous brand from 2006 until 2013 and has been at the helm of her own brand consultancy since. She will be responsible for further developing the WTR London brand identity and all collections from initial concept to production from the autumn 17 range onwards.

The move follows the appointment of Vanessa Toms as managing director in February. Toms joined from Perry Ellis, where she was retail director for three years.

Toms said: “The WTR brand has grown significantly in the last 12 months and this appointment adds a skill set to the senior management team, which will undoubtedly strengthen our future plans.

“Maki’s first collection has a distinctive and unique edge that we are confident will enable us to grow further in the UK but also now make major steps in our plans for international expansion.”
