Yoox Net-a-Porter Group has appointed Emma Mortimer as managing director for The Outnet.
In the newly created position, Mortimer will be responsible for The Outnet’s buying, merchandising, sales, marketing and creative teams, reporting to Alessandra Rossi, president of off-season at YNAP.
Mortimer previously worked at Net-a-Porter Group from 2009 to 2015. Her earlier roles included global director of studio production and customer care, and leading The Outnet in an interim capacity.
More recently Mortimer consulted for Matchesfashion, helped launch modest fashion etailer The Modist, and was a fashion specialist for the Department for International Trade.
Rossi said: “With her broad business knowledge across luxury ecommerce and her extensive expertise in customer experience, she is the ideal candidate to drive the international growth of The Outnet, enabled by our new technology and logistics platform.”
