YNAP lures data boss from Burberry

Yoox Net-a-Porter Group has appointed Burberry’s Alessia Kosagowsky as chief data and analytics officer.

In the newly created role Kosagowsky will lead and grow YNAP’s data and business team, with the aim of accelerating the company’s transformation into a data-driven and customer-centric business.

Kosagowsky will join in February and work in close partnership with chief information offices Alex Alexander and the technology team. She will report to Irene Boni, co-chief operating officer.

At Burberry Kosagowsky was vice-president of global customer analytics for five years. Before that she worked at Vodafone in a variety of roles.

Boni said: “With 20 years of experience in data and analytics, Alessia is a true leader in the field. What has impressed us most is her ability to design teams and analytical solutions, developing approaches that are fit for the maturity of the organisation while being future-proofed for organic evolution.”
