Yoox readies launch of own label

Luxury etailer Yoox is gearing up to launch its first own-label over the coming weeks, founder and chief executive Federico Marchetti has revealed.

Speaking today at the Wired Smarter conference in King’s Cross, London, Marchetti described the new range as “generated by data but designed by our creative team”.

Marchetti did not disclose the name of the new brand, but said that Yoox would combine data and design to create a compelling offer for customers.

“We didn’t want to create a collection that had been designed solely by data,” he said, “but by using data we think that the creative team can better interpret our customers’ needs.”

Yoox Net-a-Porter Group-owned menswear etailer Mr Porter launched its first own label, Mr P, in November last year. It has since added footwear and accessories to its offer.
