Zara is increasing the square footage of its Liverpool One store by more than a third to create a regional flagship.
The Spanish retailer is taking over a unit currently used by lingerie retailer Boux Avenue, and will reopen the new 27,221 sq ft store this autumn.
Boux Avenue is relocating to a 2,821 store on South John Street’s upper level, which will open later this spring.
Miles Dunnett, head of asset management for Grosvenor Liverpool Fund, which owns the centre, said: “Zara has been seeking a larger store in Liverpool One for some time due to the strength of the brand’s performance. Working closely with the Inditex team, we have created their ideal store, one that allows the Zara brand to be brought to life in what will be their new regional flagship.”
Cushman & Wakefield and Tushingham Moore acted for Liverpool One. Inditex dealt direct and Colliers acted for Boux Avenue.
