Womenswear retailer Oasis extended a special offer to its online customers on Monday following a problem with its website over the weekend.
Oasis’s online customers were sent an email on Monday apologising for what it described as a “wardrobe malfunction” with its website over the weekend, offering them an extension to its 20% off dresses promotion that it was running online.
A spokeswoman for Oasis said a technical hitch had occurred as the retailer was performing an upgrade to its web platform.
“As it was over the weekend we are not sure how many people were affected by the technical problem so we wanted to send out the email to our customers as a gesture of goodwill,” she said.
The offer was extended to customers shopping online until midnight on August 6.
