Olsen reports record UK performance in 2012

German womenswear brand Olsen has reported a record UK wholesale sell-through in 2012.

The brand, which is sold in department store concessions and select independents, saw wholesale revenues rise 8% on a like-for-like basis.

A growing wholesale base, which includes Fenwick, Hoopers and Pamela Scotts in Dublin, helped contribute to the overall increase of full price sell through, rising 65% in the year. Online UK sales were up by a massive 200%, although this remains a minority channel for the business.

Olsen has also recently unveiled English model and human rights ambassador Jacquetta Wheeler as the face of its autumn 12 campaign.
