Orlebar Brown appoints former Joseph chief exec

Lifestyle brand Orlebar Brown has appointed former Joseph chief executive Sara Ferrero as its chairwoman.

Ferrero, who spent worked at designer label Joseph for five years during which time she repositioned the label, growing in Europe, the US and Japan and entering markets including Russia, China and the Middle East. Prior to this she ran Italian accessories brand Furla for five years.

Orlebar Brown co-founder Adam Brown said: ‘We are delighted to welcome Sara as chairwoman. She is widely respected in the fashion industry and has an enviable track record in growing luxury designer brands. Her experience and insights will be invaluable as Orlebar Brown enters its next stage of development.’ 

The brand launched in 2007 as a swimshort label but now offers a full lifestyle range. The business has four standalone stores in Brtiain and sells online to more than 100 countries. Last year Orlebar Brown received investment totalling £8m after selling off a minority stake to private equity firm Piper.
