OSC and Qube on the brink

The JJB Sports-owned young fashion chain Original Shoe Company (OSC) and footwear retailer Qube were poised to collapse into administration as Drapers went to press.

Suppliers contacted by Drapers seemed to be largely unfazed by the news, with most saying they had already scaled back orders to Qube amid uncertainty about its future. Others were convinced a deal to rescue OSC may be near.

As Drapers went to press, owner JJB Sports said a notice of intention to appoint KPMG as administrators had been filed in court.
