More than a hint of repetition permeated the first looks from Kris Van Assche’s collection, emphasising his attention to detail.
Variations on slim tailoring in black were modernised with sports-inspired zips. Subtle distinctions gave way to a circular graphic print on later looks, which seemed unnecessary for this sharp Dr No look. As investment pieces, these may fall short of the mark. The outerwear will prove more buyer-friendly, with short wool jackets and voluminous coats with structured hoods.
In short Disregarding the out-of-place graphics, the collection delivered razor-sharp pieces which, while not groundbreaking, demonstrated the luxe craftsmanship Van Assche is known for.
