Véronique Nichanian brings an insouciant ease to her Hermès collections, and this was perhaps her most casually luxe to date.
Sporty references abounded: a raglan sleeve with strip-style stripes, a leather fur-lined parka, drawstring trackpants and yellow bootlaces nodded to physical pursuits but there was nothing hot and sweaty about this. The show was saved from a Sports Direct nightmare predominantly by the fabrication and colour palette, the former in the shape of suede, astrakhan and croc, the latter a classy mix of black, chocolate and moss enlivened by pops of cherry and yellow.
In short Although not a show to set records, the sporty commerciality blended with luxury was satisfying nonetheless.
