Peacocks restructures head office team

Value fashion chain Peacocks has appointed Jane Hotz as womenswear buying director as part of a wider restructuring at head office.

Hotz was formerly womenswear buying director at Shop Direct Group. She will head up womenswear buying but will also have responsibility for Peacocks’ basic ranges. Hotz joins the company today.

Sarah O’Shea has been promoted from buying controller to buying director of menswear, kidswear, footwear and accessories.

Janice Mock has been promoted to merchandise director. Mock has worked at Peacocks for 12 years.

Jane McNally, Peacocks’ previous buying and merchandising director, left the retailer last April to join womenswear group Alexon as chief executive.

Addional appointments include Richard Howell, who has been appointed divisional retail finance associate director, and Brendan Mckeown, who has been promoted to director for Group IT. Simon Anderson has been appointed director for group property acquisitions.

Peacocks said the new appointments would support its plan to open 50 new stores in the UK over the next two years, creating up to 750 new jobs.

Peacocks managing director Tim Bettley said:  “We are confident in our plans for growth over the next two years and these new appointments and promotions underline this.  We have created an even stronger senior management team who will work together to deliver the best offer for our customers in a cost-effective and creative manner.”
