Penfield's Jamie Barshall joins Chucs

Premium leisure and swimwear brand Chucs has appointed Jamie Barshall, owner of outdoor brand Penfield, as a new partner in the business.

Chucs owner Charles Finch told Drapers Barshall’s “great breath of brand experience” would help grow the British label.

Barshall, who will continue in his role at Penfield, was previously the chief executive of Vans, EastPak and Sorel distributor Global Distribution from 1990 until 2011.

In addition to its Mayfair flagship, Chucs stockists include Harrods and etailers Mr Porter and Yoox.com.

  • Jamie should focus on Penfield as the collections are pretty grim at the moment and a sell thru to match!
