Antonia Scelsi has spent much of her young career being headhunted. While at college, she worked part time at Zara in Brent Cross in 2003, but enjoyed it so much, she went full time. After six months, she was promoted to visual merchandiser. Arcadia spotted her talents and convinced her to join Wallis in 2009 as deputy visual merchandiser. “Zara taught me how to be commercial, with layout and product ordering for your specific market,” says Scelsi. “Arcadia was a fantastic company to work for. I developed operation skills as a manager that serve me well in my current role.”

Two years later, a headhunter then saw potential in Scelsi, who told her of an opportunity at Coast in Oxford Street as flagship business manager - her current role. “I am lucky enough to work with beautiful product and really focus on the customer experience,” she says. “I walk the store with all the executives on a regular basis and I am able to put forward my ideas.”

Head of customer experience Cigdem Ulgen has every faith in her. “Antonia has delivered fantastic results with a new sales team. She leads by example and knows how to get the best out of her team,” she says. “Focused always on our customer and results driven, Antonia brings natural confidence and retail qualities that are often hard to find.”
