53. Liz Evans, chief executive, Oasis and Warehouse

Liz Evans, CEO of Oasis and Warehouse

Position last year: 55

The well-liked Liz Evans has had a stable year at the helm of Oasis and Warehouse, which has been predominantly focused on revamping the Oasis store estate.

The House of Oasis concept, first devised in 2011, has now been introduced to 18 stores over the past two years and the business has spent £1.3m on revamping five units this year: Argyll Street in London, Cardiff, Birmingham, Manchester and Liverpool.

Evans has also overseen the opening of a new 3,200 sq ft Oasis flagship on London’s Tottenham Court Walk in November. Designed by Dalziel & Pow, it is the first Oasis to feature a hair and nail bar and café. Later the same month, the first airport store in London Stansted opened, and she is now looking at opening in train stations. She now plans to replatform the Oasis website in January and launch click-and-collect in the new year.

Evans took control of Oasis and Warehouse in March 2013 following the companies’ demerger from Aurora Fashions, having previously served as Oasis managing director since October 2010. All is relatively quiet on the Warehouse front, as she focuses on growing Oasis domestically.
