89. Josie Stone, non-food buying manager, Lidl

Josie Stone, Lidl

New entry

Whilst Lidl does not yet have a resounding impact on the UK fashion scene anywhere near the same extent as its grocery rivals such as F&F, George and Tu, it’s now growing and the future impact should not be underestimated. This push is being led by Josie Stone, and so far this year has included the launch of a lingerie range and a novelty range of kilts sold ahead of Burns night, all alongside its basics and jewellery ranges.

But take a look at Lidl’s product range in its home country Germany and you get a glimpse as to the full extent of its fashion potential; here they sell full casual and denim collections for men, women and kids as well as suiting and footwear. It is not yet known what Lidl’s future intentions are for its UK fashion offering, but the retailer is a slowly growing fashion force and is certainly one to keep an eye on for 2016.
