The focus for Bensoussan and the team at LK Bennett this year has firmly been on better performing stores, as the premium womenswear retailer maintained its “continued rationalisation” of underperforming concessions in House of Fraser and John Lewis, as well as closing a number of regional UK stores.

2015 has also seen the retailer relocate from London’s West End to a 17,743 sq ft head office in Shoreditch, a move Bensoussan described as resonating with the company’s design roots and reflecting its ”market-leading image.”

The only sour note for Bensoussan in an otherwise steady year came with the departure of Jo Hooper, who left the business in early March after only four months in the newly created role of group product director.
