Oscar Feldenkreis has kept Perry Ellis International’s keen focus after the brand house was taken private by his father – the company’s founder, George Feldenkreis – at the end of last year in a $437m (£339m) deal.

The Perry Ellis label returned to its classic designs this year as part of its new brand extension, Perry Ellis America. The collection originally launched in 1984 and returned to capitalise on demand for sporty streetwear. Stockists of the sub brand include USC, Foot Locker and JD Sports, and with 60 doors globally it has helped to drive European expansion.

As well as the Perry Ellis brands, the group also owns labels including Original Penguin and Farah, and holds the licence for the Jack Nicklaus and PGA Tour names for golf clothing.
