Topman buyer, Lloyd Shoe Company, aged 29
With 13 years’ experience under his belt in footwear retailing, Adam Schneider buys for one of the most directional retailers in the sector – Topman, via concessionaire Lloyd Shoe Company.
With responsibility for the Topman own brand and for the branded offer, Schneider says he has managed to rack up many more years of experience than some of his contemporaries, as he started in the business so young.
He had five years on the shopfloor at Office, followed by four years at Debenhams with trainee assistant buyer and senior assistant buyer roles, and then on to Lloyd Shoe Company as buyer four years ago.
With supply, buying and consumer-facing experience, Schneider relishes the challenge of keeping Topman in pole position. “I’d love to be a buying director one day, but right now my challenge is to make sure that Topman stays at number one.”
