To say Federico Marchetti has had a busy year is an understatement. Months after the merger of Italy’s Yoox Group and the UK’s Net-a-Porter Group, Marchetti embarked on a significant restructuring of the business. He split Yoox Net-a-Porter Group into three divisions, resulting in the promotion of Alison Loehnis (number 47) to president of in-season business, Luca Martines to president of the group’s off-season business and Paolo Mascio as president of the group’s 40 online flagship stores.

In July, Marchetti unveiled an ambitious five-year growth plan for YNAP Group. The business is aiming to grow annual net revenues by 17% to 20% at constant exchange rates, compared with annual forecast growth for the online luxury market of 15%. It will achieve this through a focus on mobile, growth in the Middle East and the US, an improved product offer and more emphasis on own label.
