Drapers Top 100 2017 – 49. Richard Price, chief executive, F&F

The team at F&F has faced some turbulence this year. There were redundancies made this summer as part of Tesco’s broader cost-cutting drive. However, Richard Price has steered the brand into a year of solid growth. Like-for-like sales at F&F were up 3.5% in the six months to 26 August, and 84% of its clothing was sold at full price.

Meanwhile, F&F has signed up to the Prince of Wales’s sustainable cotton initiative in a pledge to use 100% sustainably sourced cotton by 2020. The brand said it procures around 36,000 metric tonnes of cotton lint every year, and in its 2016 clothing ranges, 55% of the cotton it used was produced sustainably through the Better Cotton Initiative.
