Louise Greenlees, TJX Europe

Louise Greenlees became European president of retail group TJX in January 2015, overseeing discount retailer TK Maxx and its homeware counterpart, Homesense. The business has ambitious plans to expand itsglobal store estate from 633 to 1,100 stores during the 2018 financial year.

However, rising employment costs and investment in a new Wakefield distribution centre have hit profits at TK Maxx’s UK division over the past year. Adjusted profits slid by 18.5% to $75m (£56.8m) in the three months to 28 October 2017 year on year, while like-for-like sales edged up 1%.
