Kirsty Bishop

What she’s learnt: “Don’t be afraid to speak up. If you don’t understand something, ask questions.”

In just 18 months at The Dune Group, Kirsty Bishop has made herself indispensable to the business. She has become known as both an Excel ninja and a Powerpoint queen, and is always willing to share her knowledge with colleagues.

A stint working at investment bank Financo in 2014 – where she advised retailers on corporate finance – first sparked her love of the industry. Bishop describes the move to Dune as “the best decision I ever made”.

Dune’s finance director Alice Arnold says Bishop has brought with her a level of analysis and insight “we could previously only dream about”. She has also improved the way Dune reports on its weekly trading performance, worked closely with the retail team and impressed with her tireless work ethic.

“Kirsty has developed a formidable five-year plan, which charts our progress and enables us to understand how different strategic and tactical decisions will change the business going forward,” explains Arnold.
