Hannah MacGibbon, creative director at luxury womenswear brand Chloe, is to leave her role and will be replaced by former Pringle creative director Clare Waight Keller.
Waight Keller resigned from luxury brand Pringle of Scotland in March after five years at the brand, and prior to this she was a senior womenswear designer at Gucci. Waight Keller will take over from MacGibbon on June 1.
MacGibbon, who is leaving the brand to “pursue new projects”, joined the brand in 2001 and became creative director in 2008.
Chief executive officer Geoffroy de la Bourdonnaye said: “We are grateful to Hannah for her contribution and commitment to Chloé. Her considerable talents will be missed; we are proud to count Hannah among the hall of fame of great designers who have marked the history of Chloé since 1952.”
Of Waight Keller joining he added: “We warmly welcome Clare to Chloe as we continue to define feminine elegance for the radiant, active and effortlessly graceful woman of today.”
