“I think we’ll get more of the same. A bumpy economy with the odd chink of light, but the eurozone threat remains. Like-for-like periods will be interesting; coming out of a proper winter in 2012 bodes well. What effect the Jubilee and Olympics truly had last year will need to be determined. As ever the winners will be the innovators, the differentiated, and those that deliver a competitive omnichannel proposition.”
