Peter Lynes

Managing director at men’s young fashion brand Peter Werth

“The biggest ‘fashion trend’ will be a much cleaner look. Product will be king ahead of large branding and logos, with consumers buying into the look and feel rather than what’s emblazoned on the chest. Indie retailers will find it difficult to maintain a point of difference in terms of their product offering compared with the department stores, and for many brands the primary consideration will be payment. As highlighted in Drapers’ recent articles, credit support will be a critical issue without which many indies will not survive.
