“There are a couple of things that will give us a bit of a bump as we go along, for example, with the long weekend over the Jubilee, but I think people who think 2012 is going to be better are deluding themselves.

I think the high-end brands in central London could do well during the Olympics, but for retailers like us that don’t have stores in central locations it will hurt. I don’t think people will be shopping as much; they’ll be spending more time and money socialising.”
