Simon Poole

Managing director, Luke

“Whilst there has been talk of a small recovery I am sure lots of our accounts are yet to see this come through to their tills. When [consumer]confidence returns, houses will start selling, and when this happens our economy will start to recover, but I don’t think this will start to happen until spring 2011. We should be back on track fully by 2013 if the 1992 recession is a benchmark – it took the country five years to finally recover from negative equity and this one doesn’t feel its going to be quite as deep and long.”
