Premium denim brand G-Star has appointed a new country manager for the UK and Republic of Ireland and made its existing UK sales manager, Tom Duncan, its retail manager.
Nathan Ness, former sales manager at beer brand Heineken UK, will join the brand tomorrow as country manager and has been tasked with meeting G- Star’s expansion targets over the next four years, and managing its expanding back office on a day to day basis.
G-Star will also expand its sales team to “focus on strengthening relationships with existing customers and partners [and] developing new premium partnerships”.
Duncan will be responsible for driving the brand’s “2015 retail goals with premium levels of trading” in his new role. G-Star did not reveal in detail what the goals were.
Jonas Bach, G-Star sales director for the UK & Scandinavia, said: “Ness brings 12 years experience on a portfolio of premium brands to G-Star.”
