Joint managing director, Karen Millen

2009 has been a crowning year for Gemma Metheringham, who was promoted from her position as creative director of high street womenswear business Karen Millen to joint managing director in November alongside commercial director Steve Price.

This is fair reward for her 10 years at the retailer. From a product perspective, Karen Millen has found its footing, interpreting the catwalks with perfection for its 30-plus contemporary womenswear market, extending its reach beyond its traditional party dress persona.
