The main focus for Mary Homer in 2009 was the launch of Topshop in New York, and over the past months she has notched up some serious air miles.
Homer ensured none of the Topshop brand message was lost in translation as the women’s young fashion retailer made its Stateside debut in April. It went down a storm as trend-hungry US shoppers flocked to buy into the British style that Homer oversees.
Separately, Topshop’s autumn 09 edition of its Christopher Kane collaboration, which started in autumn 07, was one of its most successful tie-ups to date with items spotted all over the journalists at LFW.
