Matthew Williamson

It’s been a successful year for Matthew Williamson. First was his collection for H&M, which also marked the designer’s first foray into menswear, and will be adapted into his mainline via a capsule collection for Harrods next year.

Next was his return to London Fashion Week to mark its 25th anniversary. His eponymous label joined other big names who British Fashion Council chairman Harold Tillman encouraged to return.

His LFW return brought with it a standout spring 10 collection, which saw him move towards a more structured aesthetic without losing his signature prints and bright colours.
Finally, he expanded his Debenhams collections and relaunched his womenswear range Butterfly by Matthew Williamson as part of the department store’s Designers At range.
