Nick Robertson

Chief executive, Asos

Nick Robertson continues to show the high street just how etail should be done, with a fashion website that delivers great product and customer service which far outstrip its rivals.

Asos has followed Net-a-Porter into trialling same-day delivery within the M25 and shoppers now have the option to pay a flat delivery charge - Amazon-style - to cover all parcels they order for a full year. That Asos scored the rights to launch Gap online in the UK earlier this year rubber-stamped Robertson’s credentials as the sector’s etail leader.

He falls down the list largely because sales growth has begun to slow and most new initiatives have come in the form of international rather than UK expansion this year. Still, this is a business that is on track to deliver sales of £230m and profits of £19.2m for the full year.
