A passionate product man at heart, Kelvin has continued to deliver what Ted does best - quirky, best-seller collections. One of John Lewis’s best-selling brands, Ted Baker’s group sales surged 20.7% over the 13 weeks to November 13.
But Kelvin went one step further in 2010 by embracing technology-led strategies. The premium brand and retailer collaborated with US fashion bloggers in November to launch live styling sessions on its website. Bloggers were given 15 minutes to style two looks from Ted Baker’s autumn 10 collection by communicating the photo shoot through social networking site Twitter.
Overseas, the business is also performing well. With the launch of a transactional website for the US market and with Kelvin setting his sights on making a grab for the Indian market in 2012, Ted Baker is going global.
