Model and TV presenter
Alexa Chung’s popularity on ‘steal her style’ and ‘get the look’ pages in consumer magazines showed no sign of waning in 2010. With much of 2009 spent in the US presenting her US MTV show, Chung returned to the UK this year to present MTV show Gonzo With Alexa Chung and fashion and music series Frock Me alongside fashion designer Henry Holland, bringing her quirky and much revered style back with her.
Such is her draw that Mulberry named one of its bags after her for spring 10, and so popular was the style that waiting lists formed for both consumers and stockists. In January, Chung became the main face of the spring 10 Pepe Jeans London campaign and her appearance on the March cover of British Vogue arguably started one of the biggest summer trends of 2010 - the return of the clog.
Chung has also been a champion of the trend for a neutral colour palette, most publicly in her appearance at the GQ Men of the Year awards in London in September, when she was pictured wearing a pale pink Valentino jacket and full skirt with a matching bow tie.
