55 Brian Brick

Chief executive, Moss Bros

Not one to shy away from change, Brian Brick restructured the Moss Bros group in 2011, selling off its eight Cecil Gee stores to JD Sports Fashion and handing its 15 Hugo Boss franchise stores back to Hugo Boss. Bold moves have paid off, with the menswear group returning to profit this year with pre-tax profits of £2.2m for the six months to July 30, compared with a £2.8m loss the year before. Brick has also rolled out a revamped look for the business, combining the three key components of the Moss offer: hire, retail and bespoke.
