Chief executive, Peacock Group
Richard Kirk has suffered disappointment this year after a second attempt to sell value business Peacock Group failed. The 900-store company - which comprises fast-fashion chain Peacocks and mature womenswear chain Bonmarché - failed to attract the right price from potential suitors.
However, in spite of the upheaval beauty parades inevitably cause, the Peacocks chain has continued to drive its trend credentials with the full launch of its collection designed by Pearl Lowe and modelled by her daughter Daisy Lowe, one of the faces of 2010.
Peacocks has also opened a number of concessions with supermarket chain Morrisons and plans to open a string of stores in overseas markets while considering refinancing opportunities.
