65 Belinda Earl

Chief executive, Jaeger and Aquascutum

Described by Harold Tillman as the “Queen of Retail”, Belinda Earl spent this year pressing ahead with Jaeger’s international expansion across Russia, opening a raft of Boutique by Jaeger concessions in House of Fraser stores and opening its first standalone menswear store at Canary Wharf. Things are also looking (slightly) up at Aquascutum, which secured an £8m loan this summer to help finance the loss-making business, and there are plans for five new London stores. A deal was also signed with licensing firm Ittierre to expand the business internationally.

What they say about her… Elegant, with a quiet nature.
