Responding to indies’ demands, Mark Ashton launched Little Mistress as a short-order women’s young fashion brand for spring 11, providing fast injections of fresh, on-trend stock, something retailers craved as many moved away from heavy forward orders. A roaring success, the brand has attracted private investment from a silent party and after opening its debut store in London’s Westfield Stratford City, Ashton plans to open 20 more by the end of 2013. His Concept Fashion Agency has also expanded, taking on Danish womenswear brand Saint Tropez, for which it aims to increase the stockist base by more than 25%.
